Quick answer
Menopause Philippines is an independent guide to perimenopause and menopause for Filipinas in their 40s, 50s and 60s, and for the families helping them. We explain symptoms, treatments, tests and real peso costs, in English and Taglish, and we build free tools that keep your health data on your own phone.
Why this site exists
When we searched Google Philippines for "menopause" and "perimenopause" in October 2026, every top result was foreign: Cleveland Clinic, Mayo, NHS, WHO. Good sites, but none of them know what Oestrogel costs at Watsons, which hospitals in Metro Manila run a menopause clinic, or how to say "my OB says it's just stress" in a way that gets you heard.
Filipinas told us the rest. On Reddit they write that "walang doktor na naniniwala sa mga sintomas ko", that they were raised to be matiisin, and that complaining gets you labelled "maarte or OA". Under almost every HRT success story the top reply is the same: "Who is your doctor?"
So we built the page we wished existed: specific, local, honest and kind.
What we do
- Explain every symptom, including the odd ones (frozen shoulder, itchy ears, 3 am waking, sweat that smells different), with what actually helps.
- Price treatments and tests from real Philippine sources, with the date we checked. See costs and the Menopause Cost Index.
- Build free tools: a symptom checker, symptom diary, period tracker and more. No account, no paywall, and your answers stay on your device. Read privacy by design.
- Help you find care: our find a doctor guide and how to talk to your doctor scripts.
- Speak to families: daughters and sons can start at Paano tulungan si Mama.
What we will never do
- Sell prescription medicines, or put "buy" buttons on them. Hormone therapy and non-hormonal prescription options in the Philippines need a doctor.
- Promote compounded "bioidentical" hormones or the clinics that sell them. We explain them honestly on one page.
- Give you a personal dose. Your doctor sets your dose.
- Invent doctors, patients, testimonials or statistics.
- Overstate what a supplement can do. The evidence for most is weak, and we say so.
Who is behind it
Menopause Philippines is part of a small network of independent Philippine women's health guides, alongside Birth Control Philippines and PCOS Philippines. The sites are run by the same owner and editorial team.
We are recruiting a Filipino OB-GYN, ideally a member of the Philippine Society of Climacteric Medicine, as our medical reviewer. Until that person is in place, our pages say "Editorially reviewed" and nothing more. Read how that works on our medical review page, and how we pay for all of this on how we make money.

Frequently asked questions
Is Menopause Philippines run by doctors?
Not yet. It is an independent editorial site. We are recruiting a Filipino OB-GYN as medical reviewer and will name them only once they are confirmed. See medical review.
Do you sell HRT?
No. We never sell prescription medicines. We show where they are sold and what they cost so you can plan, and we point you to doctors who can prescribe.
Is the site free?
Yes. Every page, tool and printable is free with no account. We earn from consult and lab referrals and some supplement links. See how we make money.
Is there a Tagalog version?
Many pages include Taglish sections, and we have Taglish pages such as Menopause na ba ako? and Sintomas ng menopause.
