The number one fear
“Nakaka-cancer ba ang HRT?”
Out of 1,000 women in their 50s, about 23 get breast cancer over 5 years anyway. Combined HRT adds about 4. Having a BMI of 30 or more adds about 24. Seeing the numbers changes the conversation.

Frequently asked questions
Menopause na ba ako?
Menopause is confirmed after 12 months without a period. Before that, if you are in your 40s and your cycles are changing or you have symptoms like hot flashes, 3 am waking or brain fog, you are probably in perimenopause. Over 45, doctors usually diagnose it from symptoms alone. Try the stage finder.
Nakaka-cancer ba ang HRT?
For most healthy women under 60, the extra breast cancer risk from combined HRT is small: a few extra cases per 1,000 women over 5 years, less than the risk linked to obesity. Estrogen alone (for women without a womb) shows no increase. See the numbers.
Magkano ang HRT sa Pilipinas?
A common example, estradiol gel plus micronized progesterone, costs roughly what the calculator shows below at Watsons list prices, before consults and labs. Use the HRT cost calculator.
Ayaw akong resetahan ng OB ko. What can I do?
You are allowed to ask why, and to see another doctor. Bring a symptom summary, ask specifically about HRT and non-hormonal options, and look for a menopause-literate doctor. Scripts in Taglish.
